On the Farm - Saturday, November 23rd
Riverdale - Wednesday, November 20th
  • The vegetable share includes a wide variety of vegetables including fresh greens, carrots, butternut squash, turnips, onions, sweet potatoes, leeks, parsnips and more!

  • Eggs, apples, maple syrup and stew chickens as add-on items

  • Most everything is perfect for winter storage and will last for weeks in the fridge, extending your local organic bounty into the winter

What's in a Thanksgiving Share?

A vegetable share includes a variety of over 12 different varieties of fall produce.  The share will likely include:

Best used fresh:  Spinach, Braising Greens (kale, collards), Broccoli

Stores well in the fridge:  Carrots, Parsnips, Beets, Turnips, Cabbage

Stores well at room temperature:  Butternut Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Onions

The overall amount is much larger than our usual summer shares, since so much of the produce will store well. You can expect about 25 lb of produce.

Additional Items

You can add on additional items to your Vegetable Share:

  • Apples - a mix of heirloom apples from our neighbors at Montgomery Place Orchards, some varieties that are especially good for fresh eating and others particularly good for baking

  • Eggs from our own pasture-raised hens

  • Stew chickens (They make amazing soup or slow-cooked meat!  Not the right choice for a roast chicken.  Delivered frozen.)

  • Maple syrup from our friends at Hubbell Homestead
