Thanksgiving Share
Sign-ups have closed for 2022
A special one-time share with a generous amount of our organic produce, for a holiday feast or to store into early winter.
Pick-up: Saturday, November 19th
Locations: On the Farm and at our three Brooklyn CSA sites (Bay Ridge, East Williamsburg, and Greenwood Heights)
The Thanksgiving vegetable share includes a wide variety of vegetables including fresh greens, carrots, butternut squash, turnips, onions, sweet potatoes, beets and more!
Add-on options for all locations include eggs, apples, and maple syrup. On the Farm pickups can also add pies and fresh, local turkeys.
Most of the produce is perfect for winter storage and will last for weeks in the fridge, extending your local organic bounty into the early winter.

What's in a Thanksgiving Share?
A vegetable share includes a variety of about 12 different varieties of fall produce. The share will likely include:
Best used fresh: Salad greens, Cooking Greens (kale, collards), Broccoli, Flat-leaf Parsley
Stores well in the fridge: Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Cabbage
Stores well at room temperature: Butternut Squash, Onions, Sweet Potatoes, Garlic
The overall amount is around 50% more our usual summer shares, since so much of the produce will store well. You can expect about 18-20 lb. of produce.

We use GrownBy software for our CSA sales. We love GrownBy for two reasons: it gives you lots of options for reviewing and managing your own share details; and it is software designed by a farmer-owned cooperative that was founded by Hearty Roots’ own Lindsey Lusher Shute! It works great as an app from the Apple or Android app stores, or can be used in a web browser.
If you have purchased a CSA share from us before, you will already have an account set up. If you are a new member (welcome!), you will need to create an account as part of your purchase. Once you are logged in, you will be able to make all of your selections before checkout.
If you are placing an order for pick-up on the farm:
Please note that the Thanksgiving pies and turkeys are in separate categories from the main Thanksgiving Share items. You can add all of your different options to your cart before checking out.
