Overview

The Thanksgiving vegetable share includes a wide variety of vegetables including fresh greens, carrots, winter squash, turnips, onions, sweet potatoes, beets and more!

Add-on options for all locations include eggs from our own pasture-raised hens and apples from local orchards. Brooklyn pickups can also add maple syrup. On the Farm pickups can also add local turkeys and Pieconic pies (pie pickup will be on Wednesday, November 22nd).

Most of the produce is perfect for winter storage and will last for weeks in the fridge, extending your local organic bounty into the early winter.

What's in a Thanksgiving Share?

A Thanksgiving vegetable share includes a variety of about 12 different varieties of fall produce. The share will likely include:

Best used fresh: Salad greens, Cooking Greens (kale, collards), Broccoli, Flat-leaf Parsley

Stores well in the fridge: Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Cabbage

Stores well at room temperature: Winter Squash, Onions, Sweet Potatoes, Garlic

The overall amount is around 50% more than our usual summer shares, since so much of the produce will store well. You can expect about 18-20 lbs. of produce.
