Celebrate Spring at Hearty Roots!

Saturday April 30 Hearty Roots will be hosting a day of farm celebrations!
Starting at 12 noon the farm will be buzzing with activity, beginning with onion planting. From 3-5pm we will have a potluck picnic, live music, and farm tours.
Then head over to the Black Swan in the evening in Tivoli for a hoe-down featuring local music, starting at 8pm. Featured bands include Gift Horse, Cartoon, and Bjorn. $5 admission at the door.

CSA Shares Still Available

CSA shares are still available, for the local and Brooklyn CSA pick-ups.

Sprouts in the Greenhouse

The onion seedlings have sprouted in the greenhouse! (not to mention the chard, lettuce, leeks, beets, flowers, broccoli, kale and radicchio) March has been colder than last year, but so far all of the seedlings are doing well and with luck the fields will dry out enough to start planing soon.
