2023 Fall Harvest Party Postponed

Well, it’s been a rainy fall and this weekend looks like no exception! We are postponing the Harvest Party due to forecasted rain on Saturday afternoon. We have already been pulling stuck pickup trucks out of the mud this week, we don’t want to add stuck hayride wagons to that! We will let you know once we have an alternate date.

Saturday, October 22nd Noon – 4pm Hearty Roots Community Farm 1822 Route 9, Germantown NY 12526

We invite you to come visit us on the farm for this year's Fall Harvest Party! We will have pumpkin carving and decorating, hayrides and farm tours, face painting and games, opportunities to visit the animals, music, and pizza from our friends at Pizza Nightmare.

Here is the full schedule for the day:

All afternoon (noon—4pm):

Pumpkin carving and decorating

Wool picking

Garlic seed splitting

Face painting

Music by Tivoli Hootenanny

Pizza from Pizza Nightmare

Scheduled Events:

1:00pm — Visit the Sheep

Come meet and learn about our first flock of sheep, with our livestock manager, Zuri.

1pm, 2pm, and 3pm — Hayrides

Ride on our tractor-pulled hay wagon for a tour of the farm, including stops to visit our chickens and goats.

3:30pm — Rotten Tomato Toss

End the day with a fun game of mushy tomato throwing! Friends and family are welcome — but please, no pets! We don't allow pets on the farm, so we ask you to leave your four-legged loved ones at home. Click here to RSVP to our Facebook event. (RSVP requested, not required)
